9. Connect Claude over MCP

Connect Claude (or ChatGPT or Codex) to Timelint so you can search, update and log time on tickets by asking.

Timelint runs an MCP server, so an AI assistant you connect can work with your tickets for you: find them, create and update them, comment, log time, and answer questions such as what's stuck, what's waiting on clients, or how a contract is doing.

Connect Claude

  1. In Timelint, open Profile from the sidebar, then Manage connections under Connections.
  2. Under Your Timelint address, choose Copy. It's the same address for everyone, and it isn't a password: access comes from you signing in.
  3. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  4. Paste the address and save.
  5. Claude opens Timelint in your browser. Sign in if asked, check the request, and choose Authorise.

The How to connect card on the same page has the equivalent steps for ChatGPT and Codex.

What it can do

A connection acts as you, with exactly the permissions you already have, in every workspace you belong to. It can't see a workspace you're not a member of, or a private project you can't open. A member with read-only client access can read but not change anything, and can't see internal comments.

Disconnect

Profile → Manage connections → Connected assistants lists everything you've connected, when you connected it and how long its access lasts. Disconnect cuts off access straight away. Nothing the assistant has already done is undone, and it will ask for permission again if you reconnect.
